『トガニ』に見た韓国映画のメディア力 [コン・ユ]
無事、クリアファイルをゲットしてきましたよぉーーv(￣∀￣*)v
一緒に行った某ニムの勘違いで、
まだ、誰～～～～もいない映画館に
エラく早く着いてしまって、
「私ら、エラく張り切ってるペンみたいじゃね？」
などと言いながら、雷雨に怯え、
窓口が開くのを待つはめになったけども(≧ω≦)。
さて、トガニを話題とした記事を紹介しますね～。
警察も国会も動かす！『トガニ』に見た韓国映画のメディア力
映画のメディア特性のひとつに、イベント性がある。公開日まで予算をかけてさまざまな宣伝をして観客の興味を惹きつける。ヒットすれば大きな話題となり、社会を大きくにぎわせる。さらに、映画はテレビとは違って表現の幅が広い。（レーティングはあるが）暴力描写も性描写もはたまた政治的なメッセージも、かなり許される。ときには、社会に大きな問題を提起したりもする。それは、イベント性が強く、自由な表現が許される映画だからこそ発揮できる特性だ。8月4日から公開されている韓国映画『トガニ 幼き瞳の告発』は、まさにそうした映画のメディア特性をいかんなく発揮した作品だ。
韓国の地方都市・霧津（ムジン）にある聴覚障害者学校に赴任した美術教師カン・イノ（コン・ユ）は、すぐに学校に漂う異様な状況に気づくことになる。双子でうりふたつの姿をした校長と行政室長、職員室で生徒を殴りまくる教師、洗濯機に生徒の顔を沈める女性寮長──この学校では、日常的に性的虐待と過度な体罰が横行していた。イノは、人権センターの若い女性ソ・ユジン（チョン・ユミ）とともに、生徒を救おうとする。しかし、その先には警察と司法という大きな壁が待ち構えている。 
この映画は、イノとユジンによる告発の推移を描いている。そこで重要なのは、この映画がフィクションではないという事実だ。この映画は、実話をもとにした小説を原作としているのである。
実際の事件が起きた学校は、韓国の南西にある光州に実在していた。虐待は、2000年から起き、2005年にテレビ局の報道によって表沙汰となる。その後、裁判などを経て、この映画の原作となるコン・ジヨンによる小説が2009年6月に出版されてベストセラーになった。
映画化されて韓国で公開されたのは、小説が出版されてから2年後の2011年9月22日のことだ。きっかけは、主演のコン・ユが兵役についていたときに原作の小説を読んだことだった。彼はこの小説に心を大きく動かされ、所属するマネジメント会社に映画化権を押さえてもらい、映画化に向けて動きだした。ドラマ『コーヒープリンス1号店』によって日本でも人気の高い韓流スターのコン・ユが、このような社会派作品の映画化に動き出すのも韓国独特だ。
映画が公開されると、即座に大ヒットし、韓国社会を大きく揺るがした。裁判はすでに終わっていたにもかかわらず再捜査され、翌10月、新たに学校の職員が逮捕された。
『トガニ』の勢いはそれだけに止まらなかった。同じく10月、性暴力に関する法律が改正された。「トガニ法」と呼ばれるこの法改正は、子どもや障害者に対する性暴力の時効廃止と厳罰化を強めたものだった。
再捜査や法改正は、映画公開からわずか1カ月ほどの間に巻き起こったことだ。この映画は、社会を変えるほどの勢いを見せたのだ。この変化は、映画の持つメディアとしての大きな力によるものだった。
@メジャー映画に社会性をどう落としこむか
昨年9月の韓国での公開前のインタビューで、ファン・ドンヒョク監督は事件の再捜査を望まず、告発の意志もないと語っている。監督はただただ、「多くの人々に知ってほしい」と訴えていた。しかし、その予想は大きく外れた。公開後に警察や国会までも動かした。その影響について、ファン監督は単純に満足をしているだけでもなかった。
「たしかに自分が創った映画によって、社会が変わって良かったと思うところもあります。しかし、実際虐待を受けた子どもたちの面倒を見てくれた方からこんな話をされました。『自分たちが5、6年闘っても、なにひとつ変わらなかったのに、映画によって状況が一変した。ならば、もっと早く変わっても良かったんじゃないか』と。それを聞いて、ちょっとほろ苦く感じました。韓国社会は、まだまだ未成熟です」
最終的に『トガニ』は、韓国で467万3000人を動員し、昨年の韓国映画では動員ランキング5位の大ヒットとなった（外国映画を含めると7位）。約5000万人の韓国人の10％弱が劇場に足を運んだほどのヒットである。
日本では、非常に重いテーマの社会派映画が、これほどの大ヒットをすることはありえない。それは、韓国における映画と社会の距離の近さを意味している。韓国における、ひとりあたりの年間映画観賞回数は3.2回。日本は1.4回なので、倍以上の開きがある。韓国における映画は、日本とは比べものにならないほど一般的なメディアなのだ。
しかし一方で、韓国映画には作品の多様性は限られている。日本と違いDVDなど二次的なマーケットが極端に小さいために、インディペンデント作品がなかなか成立しにくい状況にもある。『トガニ』も社会派映画でありながら、大規模公開のメジャー配給作としての内容を要求された。
実際、この映画にはメジャー作にふさわしい一般性のある表現が随所に見られる。校長が少女を追うシーンはまるでホラー映画のようであり、裁判のシーンでは強い叙情性を感じさせる描写もある。日本のインディペンデントの社会派映画にありがちな、居丈高に構えた素振りがまるでない。語弊を恐れずに言えば、ちゃんとエンターテインメントになっている。結果として、その表現が爆発的なヒットと社会を大きく揺るがすことにつながったのだ。
@日本にもある“坩堝（るつぼ）”
ファン監督のインタビューでも、幾度か「商業的に」という言葉が出てきた。
「実は、最初に映画化のオファーをいただいたときは、一度断ったんです。こんな暗い話にお金を払ってだれが2時間以上も観るんだろうか、という心配があったからです。また、下手をすると、商業的に利用したという批判も受けるかもしれないという悩みもありました。内容も、投資を募るために原作を一部改編しました。結末とソ・ユジンのキャラクターです。もともと重い話なので、投資自体がそんなに簡単じゃないと思ったからです。
ただ、その一方で、強い社会性はアドバンテージにもなります。韓国は、地政学的に世界情勢に大きく左右されるので、他の先進国と比べても、国民が政治や社会に対して非常に強い関心を持っています。そういう問題に敏感にならざるを得ないんです。当然、映画を観るひとも敏感なので、社会性を押し出すことが、商業性を高めることにもつながります」
デビュー作でもあるファン監督の前作『マイ・ファーザー』も、社会性が色濃く出ている映画だった。それは、養子に出された韓国系アメリカ人の軍人が、実の父親を探したら死刑囚だったという話だ。これも実話であり、エンドロールには実際の報道映像が流れる。2作目の『トガニ』では、この前作の経験も活きているという。
「『マイファーザー』は、死刑囚を描いているので、その被害者家族からなぜ映画化するのかと、かなり強い抗議を受けました。その経験があったので、『トガニ』ではもっと気をつけて準備をしました」
タイトルの「トガニ」とは、韓国語で「坩堝（るつぼ）」を意味する。本来、坩堝とは、金属などを溶かして加工するときに使う耐熱容器を指す言葉だ。閉鎖された空間でドロドロに溶けた高温の液体が入ったような場をイメージするとわかるだろう。そう、それは地獄のメタファーである。
そしてこの話は、韓国に限ったことではない。日本でも非常に酷似した事件が起きている。千葉県の児童養護施設・恩寵園で起きた事件は、園長やその息子の職員が子どもたちにひどい暴力を加えたものだった。1996年に発覚したこの事件は、2010年に最高裁で結審するまで14年の歳月を費やした。閉鎖された空間で行われていたこの事件は、当初行政である千葉県が看過することで隠蔽されかかった。
そして、現在進行形である大津の中学校で起きたイジメ自殺事件でも、学校や行政の「隠蔽体質」が指摘されている。被害者の親が民事訴訟を起こし、裁判でイジメの内容が明らかにされなければ、この一件は闇に葬られたはずだ。
『トガニ』が描いているテーマは、韓国固有の問題ではない。隣国の日本でも起きている。“坩堝”は、日本にもたくさんあるのだ。

翌日？には、トップ10から転落していたけども^^;;
何でしょうね～。
こうして、絶賛されると、必ず、否定したくなる人種というのも、また居るらしくて^^;;
いろんな感想を持つのは当然だし、この映画が嫌いな人も、当然居るとは思う。
ただ、一部は、単に、素直に受け取める事が出来ない方達が居るんだろうな～。
怒りも悲しみも何の感情も起きなかった。笑えもしなかったという意見も
拝見したけど、この映画を観て、一切の感情が動かない人って、
いったい、どういう事で感情が動くんでしょうかねぇ。
単に認めたくないのか、何もかも悟ってしまっているのか、
すべて諦めてしまっているのか・・・
そんなに感情が動かないで、生きてて楽しいのかなぁ。
あ、単なる独り言です^^;;

でも、100%支持はありえないでしょうからよくは言わない人がいても仕方ないとは思うけど、何の感情もわかないなんてそれは人間としてどうよ？って思います

結局、週末にトガニに行くつもりでいたのに行けなかった私です(T_T)
子供と老人がいるとどうにも不自由でいけませんな・・。
同じく、独り言で。
韓国の映画というだけで、否定したくなる人がいるのではないでしょうか。
今このタイミングで、いろいろありますし、
私の周りにも、実際に国名を聞くだけで拒否反応、という人がいます。
だったら何も言わず無視すればいいのに、
わざわざ否定しにかかる人もいるようですね。
多くの人は、きっと素直な気持ちで見てくれ、
最後の記事にもあるように、
これは単に外国で起きている問題ってだけではなく、
私たちの近くにもある問題なんだって思ってくれる、と信じます。
近親者に障害者を持つ者として、期待も含みますが。

私は、トガニの初日に観に行きました。
帰って来て「どうやった？」って息子に聞かれたけど
「・・・」なんて答えたらいいのかわかんなかったです。
で・・・「コンユは、どうやった？」って聞かれて「かっこ良かったよ」
どう表現したらいいかわかんなくて・・・悲しかったり、苦しかったり・・・色んな気持ちになった気がします。
で、母の誕生日に電車と映画のチケットをあげたら、18日に観に行ってくれてお土産にクリアファイルもらった＾＾
「ごめん・・・観てるのが辛くなって・・・途中でちょっと外に出たから 全部観てないの」だそうですが・・・
息子は「観に行きたいわ～夏休みの間に観てくるわ」って
私が観終わって出てきたら、次のに結構並んでて嬉しかったです。

ハナさん あの雷と嵐の朝にわたしも渋谷に見に行きました
８番目くらいに並んでいたでしょうか
ゲッチュウの手ぬぐいをバックに忍ばせて・・お会いしたかったです
一人で行ったのですが、お隣に並んだ方もYOOちゃんファンということで
盛り上がり、並んで一緒に見る事が出きました！！
今後もイベントがあったら一緒に行こうとお約束いたしました。
嬉しいですね
映画ですが、涙が止まらず・・・海で、yooちゃんが子供達に
話しかけているシーンがとてもきれいで、美しい魂をかんじました
もう一度見に行ってきます

それも一つの意見であり、感想でしょ？

まー、そう感じてくれたら嬉しいけど、私は、
それこそ、くりりんさんが言うように、悪く言う人に文句言うつもりは
ないんだよね。ただ、私が目にした方の感想は
「笑いさえも」と一切の感情が動かなかったという部分が、
純粋に不思議だったんだよね。
人間、生きていれば、何をしていても、何を見て聞いていても、
何かしらの感情が沸くものじゃないかと思って。

映画の感想に限らず色んな感じ方があっていいし、
それが賛辞でない場合も共感できない場合も当然ありえること。
私は心動かされたけれど、私の何十倍感動した人もおそらくいるはず。
もしかしたら私の感動は少ない方だったかもしれない。
感受性は人様々。十人十色で正解不正解はない。
温度差の違いを語り合う楽しさもだからこそ生まれたりもしますね。
ダラダラダラを長く読んでいると、ハナさんが自分以外の考えは
否定しがちな人なのかどうかもわかっています。
しかも、そこの違いを議論するには残念ながらもうハナさんも私たちも
大人過ぎている。
言葉はぶつけるものではなくて、伝えるものではないかな。
わざわざハナさんのブログという"お宅"に自らお邪魔してお話するにしては
とてもいい御土産を持参されていたのに残念です、
少々不躾ではあられなかったでしょうか。

そうですね。

更に、書かせて頂くと、私は、
この映画を観て、全ての方に、
泣いて欲しいとか、怒って欲しいとかとも

素直に受け止めてるつもりなんですが。
何の感情も沸かなかったという感想を拝見して、
では、この方は、どんな事で感情が動くのか・・・と
素直に感じただけの話で、本文と重なってしまいますが
「単に認めたくないのか、何もかも悟ってしまっているのか、
すべて諦めてしまっているのか・・・」
と、単純に思っただけの話です。
人間は感情の生き物ですよね。
この映画に限らず、何を見ても、何をしていても、
多少の感情は動くものでしょう。
たとえば、「つまらない」と思うのも、感情。
そういった感情が、全く沸かないとなると、
「生きてていて楽しいのか」
と、単純に思っただけです。
興味といってもいいかもしれないです。
まぁ、大きなお世話と言われれば、確かに
大きなお世話な話ですが。
